For example, one of our customers, a university, used journeys send out emails regarding the degree each prospect was interested in. To get started, the university first created landing pages within Tarvent that included a sign-up form. Each landing page has specific tags added to each submitted prospect that identified the degree that the prospect was interested in.
The prospects would receive a series of informative emails about the degree they showed interest in. This was the university’s “discovery journey” which is meant to provide prospects with information about the university as well as the specific degree they were interested in. When the project enrolled, the automated detected the enrollment, changed the prospects profile to indicate they are now a student, added some classification tags to the prospect, then started the new student on the university's "New enrollee" journey. This journey was designed to welcome the student and provided the necessary details to give the student the best chance of success.
Using marketing automation through journeys in Tarvent, the university was able to send emails pertaining to the specific needs to each prospect at various points in the journey, while never having to lift a finger.
