Selecting an email marketing platform may seem daunting, but we can help. Whether you are a new marketer or a seasoned pro, deciding on a platform that will support your current needs and needs can be stressful. We have no interest in bashing or competition. Constant Contact does have a few features Tarvent doesn't have…yet. However, those missing features are limited and are far outweighed by the massive number of features Tarvent offers that Constant Contact, in their years of existence, can't touch. Let's dive in and shed some light on what makes Tarvent tick.
How does pricing compare?
Tarvent is different. We offer a single plan level, the “Everything Plan.” As the name implies, you get every feature without limits.
Currently, Constant Contact offers 3 plan levels: Lite, Standard, and Premium. You gain access to more features as you move up in your plan level. This is typical of several Email marketing platforms.
So, who's Tarvent and Constant Contact best suited for?
Constant Contact, known for its TV ads, focuses more on small businesses than anyone else. While they have a leg up on MailChimp in some ways, they are both heavily focused on small businesses with no natural avenue to handle a growing company that needs more advanced marketing features.
Tarvent is different. One of the primary differences between Tarvent and Constant Contact, along with many others, is pricing. Most competitors offer 3-4 different plans with features growing as the cost of each plan increases. Tarvent has just one plan, the “Everything plan.” Simply put, you get every feature Tarvent offers at one low price. Aside from pricing, Tarvent's start was with advertising agencies. As a result, Tarvent had to provide some advanced features that these agencies required. It didn't stop there. While we love working with small businesses and the economic heartbeat, we enjoy working with enterprise-level customers who push us to deliver the functionality that competitors like Constant Contact wouldn't offer.

Conclusion
As you can see, Tarvent is a robust platform geared towards companies of every size with no risk of outgrowing the platform. Constant Contact is a seemingly easy-to-use platform that became difficult to find specific settings or unresponsive.
One aspect we should have discussed in this comparison is security. Tarvent's granular control outshines Constant Contact’s basic security, which becomes a huge factor when your team is greater than a single person.
While Tarvent's features are extensive, we provide an intuitive platform where novice and advanced marketers can be productive without getting lost. As you learn, you can discover the never-ending number of features Tarvent delivers, giving you the ultimate control over every touchpoint made with your contacts.
TL;DR
Too much to read? We get it. We wanted to be thorough, almost to a fault.
The bottom line is that while Constant Contact checks the boxes for having specific functionality, the functionality is lacking even some of the industry-standard basics. Contact segmentation, one of the necessary foundation pieces of email marketing, is supported; the lack of segmentation options, for example, makes Constant Contact’s platform heavily crippled when compared to more advanced solutions like Tarvent and many other competitors. Like segmentation, their platform is lacking in similar ways across the board.
To be fair, Constant Contact does offer features that are not currently supported by Tarvent. We’re a growing brand that will soon have many missing features but with extensive functionality that will surpass their current features.
Tarvent is inexpensive, has a single "Everything plan," and affords you some obvious add-ons as you dive deeper into marketing. Don't worry, though; like you, we hate add-ons for every little thing you want to try. Our add-ons are only for significant functionality, such as Transactional email, that some people won't use.
We've got you covered if you want a platform with all the bells and whistles, including some of the most extensive reporting you can find.
